@tiffmaxee My regular vet isn't the greatest, he didn't even want me to treat my cat for his diabetes and wanted me to just put him to sleep. Not many vets around where I live that I can trust.
Ok, I requested the labs from them so we shall see.Great. When you are able please answer my questions about labs. It’s unusual for a cat to have primary high blood pressure. Usually it goes along with kidney disease or hyper-t. However, vets don’t routinely test for it until the cats have another disease. I asked for a baseline for Max when he was 12 and both my vet and I were surprised that he did have it. So it is possible.
Yea, very small. We have two vets, one is getting worse over the years and will try to do the bare minimum, he has no equipment really and the other specializes in livestock and not really domestic animals. Are you in a small town? Did you have labs to post? That vet should be pts.
Ya, it was at 323 two hours ago.Have you checked his bg today?
It is for the bp. 2.5mg.Were you given amlodipine for the bp? If not what ? What dose?
Well that's scary. She did tell me to give him 1/4th of it and crushed up the pills for me. I gave him one already and we have an appointment in two weeks to check his BP. Do you think I should continue with it?
