You're not an idiot. We're all here to learn. We weren't born with feline diabetes knowledge. You should, however, consider doing the curves at home. You are spending a lot of money to obtain numbers that are not in-line with the numbers you would get in Loki's comfort zone at home. I didn’t spend a dime on fructs after I found this site. I don’t know your vet...but I almost killed my first FD kitty by following vet instructions, and not doing any research on my own. You are already way ahead of me by finding this place early on.
I really think you need to collect more mid-cycle data...especially at night when kitties tend to go lower. Loki's 98 @ AM+8 yesterday concerns me (due to the lack of data) and may suggest you need to lower your dose. We don't know how low Loki went between +5 and +7. Why did you increase by a whole unit from one day to the next? That's a big increase. Also, your spreadsheet is a bit confusing since you are using two lines for one day, but still entering data in the PMPS column. One day should go straight across one line for both the AM & PM cycles...unless there’s a reason you want it laid out the way you have it, I would stick with one line per 24 hours. Okay, I’ll stop pestering you now.
You're doing great. Get some more tests in...ask lots of questions...and hang in there.
