hello!

we using ReliOn here.. glad its available cuz these products are a racket. but even then sometimes its almost $20 for strips.. know its some of the best you’ll find, but dont get why the more expensive ReliOn machine strips are the same price too.. and for our purpose, we just eat through them. :blackeye: anyway.

i was trying to see if there was even more affordable strips somewhere somehow.. and found this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMVF3QY...id=Q62KLUNF3E5K&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_ys_dp_it

the machine for it is also not too bad at $35.. which you’ll get back w the money u save.. maybe someone actually uses these or maybe can catch something i didnt.. but the savings on strips if this is actually good (and a lot of reviews show ppl like both!).. ive considered it. :cat: I would like test it against my current machine.. but it is enticing. wanted to share and also maybe get some info on if anyone has any.. :bookworm::coffee:

and got a syringe today that needle was bent frm the get go.. once opened it saw it was bent haha. it ok to straighten and use if not bent too bad?.. or best just to toss?.. o_O

You should not use a bent needle, when introduced in the cat's skin, it can break and get lodged inside the cat!!!:nailbiting::bighug::cat::cat:

You should not use a bent needle, it can break and get lodged inside the cat when injected:nailbiting: Also I do not know where you are but if you have access to Walmart, The ReliOn Premier monitor is only $19.99 and the strips are $9.00 for 50 and $17.88 for 100, and is very reliable, I see in your spreadsheet that you are using it :bighug::cat::cat:

i figured its a hard no if needle is found to be bent haha.. noted. :bighug: just asking cuz my good box of syringes are numbered.. lol.. hoping any new boxes arent messed up like my last one.. damn barrel was a bit lower from the ring, makes dose a bit smaller. :/

and yup.. they are good! just trying to see if even cheaper, good quality strips could be found too sonewhere.. saw this machine/strips found it interesting.. :) 300 in ReliOn strips is $54.. 300 of these is $39.99.. :woot: but idk. lol

Always keep in n mind that each monitor requires their own strips not one are the same, be careful please with the bent needles:bighug::cat::cat:

right; you have to buy the machine for those but you’d make back the savings w the strips.

and 100%.. i check each syringe always before use. :cat:

Depending on how good you are with testing: this machine requires 0.7 microliters of blood per test and the relion requires 0.5

thanks for noticing that!! thought to get some good eyes on it.. and see.. :cat::bookworm::coffee: good to know. fortunately here testing isnt too bad. but good to know. would u say is a considerable difference? i always try to pursue a a decent drop.. :woot::(:arghh: but hm.

I don’t think the 0.2microliter difference is much unless you have trouble getting enough blood for a test normally. That’s a very tiny amount difference. But some people, especially in the beginning, have trouble just getting the 0.5 micro liters. I don’t know the reliability of this meter and also things on Amazon sometimes comes and goes. The positive about the relion is most places are not too far away from Walmart so can run to store if they run out of strips. Otherwise you need to stay on top of ordering —so you need to figure out if the cost difference is worth it.

all of this good to consider.. :bighug: my issue tho too has been that some Walmarts near me are also out of strips.. haha. but one usually has some nearby..
