Hi all, George is doing okay, he doesnt like the new food but hes getting used to it. His new food (purina NF Early kidney care) is 13g of carbs, and has been raising his BG unfortunately (I have everything logged in my own seperate log; will screenshot below) and hes on 1 unit of insulin (has been since september 29th). Should I increase or keep it around the same? Hes in range so im not too worried i reckon, but i wanted others opinions on it before I make a move. Also, Georges results came back regarding his kidneys. He is improving on the new food, so hopefully we see some more improvement as time goes on!

A long long time ago, I wanted to test my J.D.'s blood for ketones and I called around at all the pharmacys around here and most had the meter but not the test strips, but two of them said they could have the test strips ordered and available within 24 hours (the next day). Have any of them said that?

Ketones have been tested by both me and the vet and he does not have any

Hi Zach, Could you do us a favor and fill in the spreadsheet with all of his recent numbers or at least at week or so of numbers. I'm having a hard time reading the numbers on your chart, and since you're asking for a dose review, seeing those exact numbers is important. When did he go on the food? Can you please put that in the remarks? Thanks!

Just got done fixing his spreadsheet! I will do my best to keep it updated. I will try and be more active on the forum but I struggle with communication + medical issues going on, so im hyperfocused on just maintaining Georges health. I do know this forum is an invaluable tool for me to harness but im not the most social individual
