Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13444

She was HI last night. :( She hasn't had any dry food since then, and we started a new pen last night. The one we'd been using fell on the floor. It seems the plastic would protect and cushion the insulin, but maybe not.

I"m going to test her again in about an hour. Then I have to leave for a few hours.

That's a huge drop in 2 hours. If you must leave at +3, please make sure there's plenty of food out. Depending on where Kitty's at when you post, you might want to even give MC or HC if numbers look like they are still heading down. This is early in the cycle for a drop with that much momentum behind it.

This makes no sense to me at all. She's going to be way high again tonight. :( I gave her a bite of FF after her last test. But that was over an hour ago.

Maybe it was a wonky test. I had that with Gabby the other night. Pinks for a couple of hours, a blue, then a pink the next hour. At least you can leave the house and not be worried that numbers are dropping too low.

I think I worry as much that her numbers will go too high. That HI on the meter last night wasn't pretty.
 
I'm still wondering what to do about her dose.

She seems depressed today. I took her and my laptop out on the balcony this evening, thinking she'd enjoy the fresh air and keeping me company while I worked. She seemed miserable. Of course, PK and Honey joining us didn't help. I wish she'd get adopted. She's the best cat, and she so deserves a home where she's happy.
 
The right bean will turn up. I think cats pick their humans just as much as humans pick the cat. It will happen. In the mean time, you are lucky to have each other.
 
I could tell you the most wonderful stories about cats waiting -- sometimes years -- for the right forever family to come along. They do pick their humans, and if we pick for them and make a mistake, they always find a way to get returned. I just want Kitty to be happy. She deserves that.
