Hi, I’m new and could use some advice. My cat Sophie is 14 and in pretty good health. About a year ago she needed steroids for an acute battle with asthma and the vet believes triggered her diabetes. We caught it right ways and began insulin and within 6 months we got her in remission. And for the last 6 months all has been good. She injured her hip jumping off the kitchen countertop and we are giving her pain meds (tramadol) while she’s healing and now she’s not eating. We’ve been in and out of the vet the last few days trying anti nausea medication and fluids and we got an appetite stimulant today but I’m worried she not eating. I’m also monitoring her blood sugar but I’m at a loss to get her to eat. We feed fancy feast pates and Tiki Cat tuna or chicken. I’ve got another vet appointment on Wednesday but I’m desperate to get her to eat so her blood sugars stay good. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve tried canned tuna, roasted chicken, and Parmesan cheese. She takes a bite or two but that’s it.
