Formal Intoduction of Max

Max and I had a long chat on the trip home from the airport last night and he would like to be formally introduce himself to all the nice people here that work so hard to make sure that extra sweet kitties like himself get the best possible help.
So without further ado I turn the computer over to him to introduce himself.

Hi

My name is Max! I'm a very lucky boy, I just got a new momma and daddy bean last night! Boy life is great here so far, I got to sleep with my new furparents on their big comfy bed, so I snuggled right up to my new daddy, then I decided that maybe I would like that big comfy warm drooler down there in the floor, so I got off the bed and curled up with the doggie.

I know there are other kitty brothers and sisters out there, but I have only met a few so far, but everyone seems really nice so far. Some were a little pushy about my new hair cut (they stole my clothes before I could get on the airplane, something about I might be a terrorist). But all and all this place is working out just fine.

Life hasn't always been this nice to me, I survived a hurricane called Katrina, then I went to live with a nice grandma, but she too had to leave me, so they suggested that I was tired (which I wasn't) and need to be PTS. Lucky for me Aunt Claudia heard about me and found me my new mom and dad. I have something called Dire Beasties. But mom says that's okay she can help me feel better.

I'm a little skinny (and naked) at the moment but with all the good food I have been getting I'm sure I will get to be the big happy boy I want to be. Mom says to tell you that I'm on Lantus, right now it will be 1u bid, but she thinks I can go OTJ pretty quickly with some lovin and good chow. She just checked my BG by poking my ear...and after over 24 hours without my insulin and having already eaten breakfast ( our insulin arrived late) I was only at 129. So mom said I didn't have to have a shot just yet, but she would be back to poke my ear again in a little bit to see how I'm doing.

She also told me that she would get me a nice spreadsheet all set up today so everyone can watch how well I'm doing.

Thanks again for helping my new mom help me...You are just the bestest.

Max is being feed a strictly low carb wet diet of 9-lives (Bacon & Liver, chicken dinner, and super supper).

Itz me Max. Glad to hearz that ur momma gives u pokies 2. Mai Mum gave mez lots of them yestrdai, but saiz Iz had gud nummers all blues and greens. whatever that meanz.

I asked about outdoor walkies but mom saiz I can't yet, cuz it is cold out & I has no clothes. Although wez can tries em once I grow a new suit.

I has lots of new brudders and sistrs here! Most r berry nice cept Angel...she iz a spaz i said Hai 2 her and she ran and hid behind mom...She is so sillyz. But also vrey purty. Gonna triez talkin to herz more so maybe shez won't bee so scired of mez.

I gots a bossy brudder 2 his name is Patches...He hissed at mez so I slap him. den he leave mez alone.

I thikn Iz gonna lik it here. Even wif the ear pokies.

I am Maui, The Magnificent, and I am always looking for new employees, err recruits, err friends. And I have the most amazing uniform, err outfit that will fit you perfectly and look very nice on you. I can even put your name it, so nobody will ever take it away from you again.

Oh and when you wear this nice uniform, err outfit, I have accessories that go with it, including a silver tray for you to carry the nipjitos and other yummy cattails on. I will send you this lovely outfit and you can start practicing wearing it and carrying this lovely tray, because when you go OTJ, I have a job, errr duties, err stuff waiting for you at the falls.

Welcome Max! Sounds like life will be better for you. Sorry to hear about your clothes - some humans are just stupid and thoughtless. I'm sure you'll be back to your handsome self soon. Best wishes.
