We have several feral kitties that live in the woods behind my house. My neighbor has been feeding them for years and has had them spayed/neutered by having them trapped and released (she paid for 5 cats to have this done - gotta love her) by a local animal rescue group who use a love trap (I think that is what they call it). They don't come in her house cause her sister who lives with her is highly allergic and they don't want to anyway, but they come there to eat every day and during the blizzards and bad weather, they go in her garage which she left open enough for them to get in and she always feeds them in there so they knew enough to go there in the blizzard.
Today, some JERK  hit one of them with his car and kept going! A beautiful grey long hair with big green eyes that was young, maybe 3-4 years old at the most. I got his plate number cause I was just leaving the house for work when I saw the cat come flying in the air to the side of the road. He slowed down and looked at it and then took off. I was so disgusted. I managed to get his plate number as I was screaming at him. The cat died instantly
My neighbor still does not know because she is not home yet and was already gone. My hubby picked up the kitty and put it in a box and it is on my deck right now. I have to go over there later and tell her :YMSIGH:
Just wanted to let this wonderful cat loving community know so you can all say a little prayer for this little kitty (she was tiny, maybe 5 pounds) so her crossing over the bridge is a good one. I am so very sad about this. I hope the cops arrested him. The cat was easily visible as it was daylight but the guy was speeding and thus did not stop in time. :-x
