Hello again!
For the past ~72 hours now, Thaiger has not been eating very much.. I was concerned about it yesterday since she suffers from gallstones so had a full blood panel run and urine check and everything came back excellent (labs in her template). The vet couldn't think of a medical reason for the lack of appetite but gave her an anti-nausea shot as well as some fluids to prevent dehydration just in case.. Fast forward 24 hours later and i'm still not seeing much of an appetite increase and she is also not guzzling much water.
She will never say no to a treat but i've been giving those very sparingly since her favorites are loaded in sugar (Temptations Cheesy). If I had to estimate, I would say she has eaten maybe a can and a half of wet food (5.5 oz Friskies Pate) and 1/4 - 1/2 c of dry food (still weaning her off) in almost 72 hours. She weighs 11lbs so I would think she would need to eat a bit more than that.
I do add warm water to her wet food as she prefers to lick up the gravy. She happily ate the fattening wet food and honey last night when we went through a low BG scare but that was only like 4 spoonfuls so nothing substantial. She does have hyperthyroidism and is on on Felimazole (1 2.5mg pill per day). She is still urinating a few times a day but in small quantities and i've seen very small pooh once each day.
Am I paranoid?
