cat_wings>o I had been thinking of being a fur mom again a couple years after losing Jasmine, my black and white tuxedo. As I was leaving the grocery store I saw Wonton's picture on the bulletin board. She was 7 yrs old and the owners said she's not getting along with their dog. My heart went out to her..her own family was giving her up. I was imagining all the terrible outcomes of where she could end up..I had to have her. Her then fur dad delivered her to me and he mentioned that his son named her Wonton from a book be was reading about a grey cat named Wonton..so unique and cute I didn't change it.
Wonton was shy with strangers until she looked to me and I told her 'you're ok baby's. She greeted me at the door every time I came home. Looking back she was probably not feeling like herself when I would come home and find her under my comforter..I thought she might be cold and was cuddling. Wonton loved to sit on my lap whenever I was home. She would put her paws on both sides of my neck and look into my eyes with her big soft green eyes..I so loved those hugs and special times. She also loved to play hide and seek..I would run to another room and hide and she would come looking for me. It was so cute. She had her favorite toys and loved her catnip.
I miss my baby so much..I brought her to the vet to let her go this past Friday. I found out the week before after a biopsy that she had cancer..that dreaded word. That morning she jumped up on her window perch and was enjoying the sunshine which made me so happy as she hadn't done that for quite awhile.
I want to thank all you amazing sugar baby mom's and dad's for all your help while Wonton was on the juice back in 2012. You guys are the Best! She had her OTJ party only 2 and a half months later..a real blessing..just like this group.
I miss you like crazy my baby girl..I will see you again. I picture you with Jasmine happy healthy and enjoying the warm sunshine. In my heart forever.
