Dropped Lantus?

I accidentally dropped the Lantus bottle from about a 3 foot height onto carpet a few minutes ago - when I picked it up it had a little froth/bubbles at the top. Did I just destroy the insulin?

Unfortunately I'm going on a business trip in 2 hours and taking my cat to be boarded at the vet right now, so I can't get another vial until the end of the week - but I'm wondering if I should tell the vet what happened? Or is it bad enough I should have a friend go pick up a vial and drop it off tonight/tomorrow?

I'm only planning to use this particular cartridge through the end of this week either way (I worry about going past 28 days because it was out of the fridge for a while when I first got it).

If you bring it to vets & cat numbers are going up, how can you get a replacement?? Can friend get another cart for you if needed???
Can vet?? I never experienced that , but have dropped a vial or 2, not with bubbles & foam!!
How about call pharmacy, or SANOFI-ADVENTIS WHO MAKES LANTUS & ASK THEM???
Hope all is well--Can someone post for you on this forum, or can you, while you are away? It would be advisable for you to keep track of your cat's numbers while you are gone--Like am & Pm??
