Squamee's BG has been going up since she is on these meds. She is currently getting 25mg gabapentin BID, and 7.5mg phenobarbitol BID. She had been getting them in pill pockets (which she began REFUSING today) and I know there is corn syrup in that---would that be enough to raise her glucose level?

I doubt that the meds are raising her BGs, but the pill pockets might be!

If she is ill, or stressed, that can also raise the BGs. Are you adjusting the insulin to compensate?

I have been slowly raising her insulin. Am uneasy because she has such difficulty eating, and in the past she self-regulated by eating whenever she went low.

What pill pockets are you getting?
The allergy ones - roast duck and pea - show no sugar.
