I'm thinking we are through the bounce. I didn't know how low he would go so only gave 0.5 units after reading "what to do with low preshot numbers".
His sugar is down, but his physical ability is down too. Yesterday he spent much of the day in the litter box and fell off the high bed (not on his feet). When I went to bed last night he was lying in the doorway. He could barely move, but I noticed pee in the box. At 1 am he woke me up at the side of my bed. He could not get on the bed so I picked him up. He was hungry so I fed him through the tube. He purred. I noticed poop in the box. However, his posture alarmed me. He could not keep himself in a sitting position. I gave him his Bupo and we fell asleep together.
It is six hours later, he is resting comfortably on the bed and purrs when I go into the room. (I have pillows all around to catch him if he falls and I keep checking him).
I am concerned about his weakness. He is anemic (Tuesday his red blood cell count was 15%... very low).
On Tuesday when his sugar was in the 60s he was alert and mobile.
Thursday his sugar shot up and he became lethargic (as he usually does). He was able to get on the bed.
Friday was worse and now it is Saturday.....
He has bounced back so many times, I don't know what to think. I guess I should just be happy he is comfortable and where he wants to be.
