Dewey going into remission

I would like to hear what people think about the wet food automatic feeders. I have not been feeding Dewey overnight and his 6:30 am glucose is always his high of the day. So It was recommended to me to set one up for him.

Other popular feeders but less fancy than the Libro are Catmate and Petsafe. I use the Petsafe 5 compartment feeder. There's no cooling feature but I've never had a problem with food going bad if it sits out all day. There is a space in the bottom of the feeder for a small gel-type ice pack. Canned food can also be frozen into portion sizes and then the frozen chunk can be put into the feeder to slowly defrost.

I too used the Petsafe 5 with a small gel pack. Adding extra water helped prevent the food getting crusty over time.

Thank you. The Cat Mate 5 is the one I ordered. I have never used an automatic feeder before for either wet or dry food. So any help is welcomed.

There's really nothing to it - fill the feeder compartments, set the times you want food to be available, and let it run. The feeder may make a whirring noise as the tray rotates. Some cats aren't bothered by it and even associate the noise with food. A few may even camp out by the feeder all day and just wait for food Other cats might be initially afraid of the noise.
