Delmer will be 16 on Nov 12. He has had diabetes for over a decade. I apologize if I'm not posting this in the right place. I couldn't figure it out.
Last night he failed an easy jump. He fell. This morning his tail was limp. He is standing on his back tippy toes. Rigid legs. Peeing standing up. I'm keeping a close eye on his blood glucose levels. I'm sorry if this is an ignorant question, but based on the below data should I dose him with insulin tonight? (prozinc)
Nov 2. 12:00 PM insulin 2.5 units
1:55 p.m. 325 bg
5:19 p.m. 136 bg
7:08 p.m. 66 bg - put molasses on gums and fed him.
9:09 pm 99 bg
12:00 AM 150 bg
1:09 a.m. 188 bg.
I'm so worried about him. I would really like for him to live longer than now. But I will not let him suffer.
