Hi, so since I had a 3 day weekend I was able to do more testing than I normally can. After getting most readings in the mid 200's and lowest at 109 at one point, yesterday in the 11th hour, pre second shot, he was up to 429. I have never seen it that high and was quite shocked. 3 hours post that shot then, it was back down to 201.
I am using the Reli-On Micro, and he is on ProZinc, 1.5 units twice a day. There was no change in his diet, no stress going on. He is recuperating from Pancreatitis, and was hoping he was over that hump. There is one clue, and that's really what this post is all about: the sample for that 429 was VERY small, I'm surprised it even registered, I was kinda making it be--I have had a lot of trouble getting blood from him no matter how much a massage his little ears. Anyways, I could see that his fur on his ear was red but there wasn't really a "drop" pooling up and I kinda smooshed the strip into this faint smudge of red that was barely there. Could that be the cause of a mis-read?? Thanks for your input on this, of course I will be telling my vet too. Just went home for lunch to do a 5 hour on him and it was 249.
