Hi All
I have written about Sampsons many issues often and now I am seeking help for what we have believed to irritable bowel disease. He has had constant bowel movements, often wet and yellow until I use the flagyl and budesonide. Usually the diarrhea passes but comes back in 3 to 5 days. I am not so sure this is IBD any longer. This has been going on for over a solid year and he is losing more and more weight. I had the vet recheck for thyroid issues but his T-4 came back at 2.4 which the grey zone for a cat his age. He is 17 years old.
He is a real fighter he eats really good but nearly every time he eats he has a large bowel movement. Either yellow diarrhea or if I treat with the flagyl really long poops.
I just don't know what to make of this. I read that the yellow vomit and diarrhea is indicative of an empty stomach. We are now trying the prozyme supplement to see if he can keep anything in his belly. He has lost so much weight and he is fighting to eat and get some nutrients.
Has anyone experienced anything like this and did you find out what was causing this?
Thanks so very much .
