Hi all,

we’ve been using a libre on Joey consistently every two weeks since April. The vet puts the libre on each time and at times Joey has recently ripped them off despite him always having a onesie on to prevent this.
His skin has recently become irritated where libres were previously put on.
Joey recently has had much improved blood glucose levels in recent weeks much due to the SLGS protocol we learned about from this group. My husband and I are torn between continuing to use a libre on Joey so we are more easily able to apply SLGS and adjust his insulin levels appropriately with giving his skin a break.
Wanted to see if anyone here has experienced something similar.

Was tissue glue such as Vetbond used to help the sensor stick on? Thar can cause problems especially when removing the sensor. Can you post a photo of what the skin looks like and make sure you state how long the sensor has been removed.

The following is right after removal:

I now use Skin Tac. After removal it looks better

I recommend that youjoint the FB gtroupd for using the Libre on Dogs and cats. They have a lot of good info.
