I just wanted to let you know that I made it home.
The journey wasn't an easy one, but it didn't take too long.

Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and new
I wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too.

Please try not to be sad for me.
Try to understand God is taking care of me...
I'm in the shelter of His hands.

Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain.
Here there is no crying and I'll never hurt again.

Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing.
I really have to go for now... I've just got to try my wings.

Oh I am so sorry Donna. You and Connor fought a good fight, but he needed to rest. It was a blessing that he had you in his life as family when he needed you the most. (((Many many hugs)))

I am so sorry. I was so hoping that Conner would pull through. You gave him the best possible chance with all of your love, caring, attention, and the forever home he needed. For those of us who have a GA kitty, those kitties are taking care of Connor now at the Bridge. He's healthy and happy and he will be waiting for you.

Donna, I thought I was ready to write this post. I was wrong. Every cat is special, but whenever we lose one of our Lantus Land babies, we always find that there was something really extra special about them. They have a way of leaving a legacy. Connor’s legacy is inspiring me to start fostering, so I can try to help Jazzy and others who will come after her. I would not have done that if not for you and Connor. What an impact he has had on my life in the few months I have known about him.

Connor, we have many special Lantus kitties waiting to show you around at the Bridge. You will never be alone.
 
(((Donna))) So sorry to hear about Connor. He sure was a fighter. I'm glad he found his way to you. No doubt he knew he was absolutely loved. Take care of you.
 
I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. Lots of tears and hugs for you. I hope you have somebody that's taking good care of you while your heart is breaking.
 
I'm so sorry for your loss, Donna. I have tears running down my face right now. I was so hoping he would pull through. You did everything you could and he knows how much you loved him.

I am so sorry that you lost your Conner. Libby is right our Lantus Land kitties do have a special place in our heart. We are all family and we feel your pain too. You are never alone and either is Conner. You fought with him every step of the way, but most of all you gave him love and a home of his own. He will never forget that. May you take much comfort in that.

I am so very sorry to read this. I had hoped that Connor would make it. He knew you were there for him - he found his home with you. What a fighter you both were. Remember the good - those memories will always be with you, in your mind and in your heart. Fly free sweet Connor.

Donna, I am so sorry to hear this. Your beautiful poem tells us everything; you know Connor is gone only in physical presence. He is still right there with you, and his body feels no pain. I hope you are comforted by this knowledge. Many hugs to you. Fly free, Connor.

I am so very sorry for your loss of sweet Conner. He was such a beautiful boy. How lucky he he was to find you and have a real Mom be there for him going through such tough times. I am so very sorry for the pain you must feel and send my sympathies.

Hi Donna-

This one hits extra hard as he was a fellow flame point boy. I'm crying with you and the tears are flowing. I'm glad you adopted him and did everything you could for him. Cherish your memories, they will mend your heart. XO
