Hello everyone been awhile since I have posted but Mumu has gone OTJ and I hope for it to stay that way.
He is currently eating Tiki Cat® Puka Puka Luau succulent chicken 3 2.8 oz cans per day. I would like to keep him on this food but the sales are few and far between and it is starting to take its toll on how expensive it is.
I have reviewed the food charts and cant find many available with 0 carbs or some kind of food that is very similar to this, I have seen new brands come out that aren't available on the food charts as well.
Does anyone have a good suggestion to another brand that is 0 carbs preferably chicken?
I also wanted to ask some of the more experienced users if his 7.1-7.8's is normal range to be in after being taken off the Lantus, he doesn't seem to be dropping below 7 now.
And finally would treats halfway during the day between his two meals be OK obviously something diabetic friendly with 0 carbs.
Any suggestion/advice to these questions would be greatly appreciated, more so to the change in his main food source, I know to "not rock the boat" advice but 250$ per month is too much.
Thank you for all the advice and for reading, take care.
