Thank you very much :YMHUG: and I love to see you all at J.D.'s Party.
All the vets say he looks great for 20. His blood work is pretty good. It's just the eating that is a challenge, everyday.
It is exhausting, and I am very grateful that you all came to visit him on his Special Day.
I went to the grocery store to see if they had crab legs in the sea food department, but they only had plastic bags of frozen ones for $50.00. So, I picked up a small container of (real, hard to fine real) crab claws, and I'll see later if he is interested. I also bought some roast beef and some ham (which I had them check on each first for any onions) from the deli department. He ate a teeny bite of each.
I was also looking for a self heating bed or pad, but haven't come across one yet. I did find a really warm doggy jacket for him that has some tummy covering. I want that as his tummy was shaved recently, and with the good snowfall expected this year, I don't want his tummy to be cold on walks.
His PMPS was early (to get ready for DST) and we went for our third walk of the day. He went to the cat food bowls and sniffed them, which is better than walking past them, and settled on some kibble with cat treats mixed in, and ate some of that.
I know, PMPS HI, kibble or cat treats is not what is recommended for a diabetic, but for J.D. to eat is a little is good, progress, and heartwarming, to the bean.
I need to give him his syringe feeding now, and then off to PetsMart to try to find a bed, and yes, to get Ginger a toy.
