Hello Lantus Land!
The five of us (that is, Jack, Karre, Magpie, Pepita and myself) have just returned from our leisurely wander through the garden - it's one of our morning-coffee-routines, when weather permits. Everyone says Hi! And everyone is faring well. Karre, as we learned from our vet the past week, has arthritis in his knee (the one where he had surgery six years ago) and has started conservative treatment with MSM, glucosamine, and a homeopathic combination remedy. Otherwise he is fighting fit and continues to exercize his magnanimous rule by demanding tuna, belly scratches, garden walks and brushies sessions only during normal waking hours. Pepita makes no such concession to her beans' sleep requirements - her first wake-up call tends to come around 4am, when she feels an hour of playtime is in order. Most of the time, she does allow another two-hour grace period of slumber though. She's recovered almost fully from her nasty fall that bruised her leg from the hip down - there's no more lameness, though she's not resumed her tree-climbing antics just yet. (We hope her cautious attitude will stick, but we know deep down we're kidding ourselves. A leopard can't change his shorts after all, as we learned from Terry Pratchett's Nanny Ogg.) The Magpie still queens it up right nice every day - she has decided that Pepita's new birthday blanket is actually hers. (They do share, though, when the need arises.)
The beans are fine, busy with the last month of wedding preparations, and getting excited about the Day approaching fast.
And we miss the Bear Man. (((Linda)))

For now, it's breakfast time, so: Many sunny greetings from the summery Cape,
