Hi Suzanne , I gave him the shot and gave him a small amount of food and he drank sum water. He doesn't usually vomit so maybe he ate to fast. He did in the middle of night sound like he was going to vomit but he only spat out a little water. He does that sometimes when a hairball is coming. It’s okay to just give Sir Maximus small amounts of food. Every cat vomits once in a while.
With ProZinc we don’t wait until they’ve finished eating to shoot the insulin. The only exception to this would probably be a cat who vomits daily (which in itself would not be normal.). Sir Maximus doesn’t usually vomit.
Okay good. He is certainly a big fluffy boy! One of my fluffies vomited up a lot of hair and brownish (food) liquid last night.Hi Suzanne , I gave him the shot and gave him a small amount of food and he drank sum water. Since he has been on wet food the hairballs our less frequent, he always has been a big groomer. I always hate to see just liquid and no hairball like last night. If he was getting a hairball he usually wont eat till he gets rid of it.Okay good. He is certainly a big fluffy boy! One of my fluffies vomited up a lot of hair and brownish (food) liquid last night.
Just keep up the snacks of wet food at regular intervals.Since he has been on wet food the hairballs our less frequent, he always has been a big groomer. I always hate to see just liquid and no hairball like last night. If he was getting a hairball he usually wont eat till he gets rid of it.
He is one 155 so I hope that food will slow the shot down because he usually eats a half can pre shot.
Thank you
Uhh 92 at+2 , had a feeling that was going to happen with him vomiting some of his food and not eating his whole portion pre shotHis AMPS is almost identical to yesterday’s so he should have a good cycle as long as he eats his snacks. Hopefully he’ll cough up that hairball.[/QU
Can you get him to eat?Uhh 92 at+2 , had a feeling that was going to happen with him vomiting some of his food and not eating his whole portion pre shot
just gave tsp of low carb. I have low carb , med carb and high carbWhat kind of food options do you have? Everything … even baby food.
No. We’ve worked very hard to get him into good green. Shawn just needs to change his dosing method to MPM or put a custom reduction point in there. Sir Maximus will not do well with a reduction at this point. But this can be done later after he gets Sir Maximus to eat.@Suzanne & Darcy
Hi Suzanne I was looking at Shawn's SS ,trying to understand, didn't Sir Maximum earn a reduction since he dropped under 90 yesterday during the AM cycle, or am I missing something
And he ate it, or did you have to force him to eat it?just gave tsp of low carb. I have low carb , med carb and high carb
He ate it. Usually i give him a 1tsp and half so he i can either give a little med carb or some more low carbAnd he ate it, or did you have to force him to eat it?
If he ate the tsp. Of low carb that is okay — although there’s no harm in giving him a few more carbs (MC) if he likes it and will eat. Normally not, but it’s early in the cycle so okay. But please do test in 30 minutes so we can see if you need to do any more.He ate it. Usually i give him a 1tsp and half so he i can either give a little med carb or some more low carb
Now at 64 , probably should go high carb? He did not get any med carbs earliar only low carbsIf he ate the tsp. Chowing down 2 tsp of MC , will test in 20 minutesWe don’t usually give HC until they’re at 50. But just get him to eat.
Oh good. He’s enjoying the food?Chowing down 2 tsp of MC , will test in 20 minutes
Ya he loves FF gravy lovers chicken feast in gravy. That's like lobster to himOh good. He’s enjoying the food?
Thank youOkay. I will be here.
He is at 77Number please![]()
Im thinking another TSP of the lobster since he is still early in cycle than we can go to low carbOr another teaspoon of Lobster![]()
It’s a plan!Im thinking another TSP of the lobster since he is still early in cycle than we can go to low carb
Well the good thing out of all of this is that he has kept all this food down and hasn't puked anymore even tho I shouldn't jinx myself on that thought. Had a vision of myself cleaning up cat puke all morning. Gravy n BiscuitsIt’s a plan!
Right now , will post in a couple minutes Just got an 84What time is the next test for Sir Maximus?
Okay. I would give him only low carb going forward as long as he stays in dark green. And test in an hour give him a breakRight now , will post in a couple minutes Just got an 84

No i didn't know that, i will give that a try . Excel data sheets our little new to me. I've been in hospitality industry for most of my lifeDid you know that you can put a “hard return” and get your data onto one line — when you are entering extra tests into a cell — by pressing the Ctrl key at the same time as you hit the return/enter key. Then you control where the text will be broken up. Of course, this is on a real keyboard. Not sure how to do this on a phone — I would have to look it up. I never do spreadsheets on a phone.
I hit the Ctrl and the enter button at the same time but it didn't work for me. It just went back to the same formatNo i didn't know that, i will give that a try . Excel data sheets our little new to me. I've been in hospitality industry for most of my life![]()

Thanks for always being so thorough and checking into things!

sorry. It’s the Alt key. Not the control key. I told you wrong.
