Can I give the shot early

Oscar usually gets his 1 U of Lantus at 7 AM and 7 PM. Tomorrow we have to be somewhere at 8 AM so we have to leave the house about 6 AM.

Can I give him his shot one hour early? Or should I give tonight’s shot 1/2 early (6:30 pm) so the morning shot is only 1/2 early at 6 am?

then what do I do about tomorrow night’s shot and then getting back in schedule? Gees…..

It's better if you can give tonight's shot 30 minutes early and tomorrow morning 30 minutes early. Tomorrow night would be 30 minutes early (12 hours apart) and Monday morning back to your normal shot time. That way you are only moving the shot 30 minutes per day. That is safer than one hour.

Yes that is what I decided to do. And I believe he got into the trash bag and might have licked barbecue sauce since his PMPS was 328. Although he won’t admit to it. But I found the ball of foil across the room

Sheba liked to raid the garbage or any left overs on the bench….they are opportunists! :joyful:

Next time if you know in advance you only want to shoot 30 minutes early every 24 hours. If he were low that would matter more as it can act like a slight increase. It also might not have any effect. Shooting late to get back on schedule if you want you can always do it an hour late all at once but it might act like a slight reduction.
