Hi,
We took a long break from the message boards as I was driving myself crazy with trying to get Calley healthy. So, though not conventional and probably not recommended by those here at the boards, I stepped back and stopped all the craziness. I stopped testing several times a day. I went to an all chicken meal(canned Friskees chicken pate dinner) and just give Calley 2 units/twice a day.
Miraculously, she has stopped vomiting, had put on over a pound of weight, her fur has come back to a healthy shine and fluffy-ness, she is playful and loving and I am enjoying her again. She is still very hungry but has stopped the outrageous peeing and drinking.
I might test her every other day, but I look to her physical condition to see how she is feeling.
She is on Lantus and is about to run out. I have called all the local pharmacies and do not want to pay 300$ for a vial. I looked at the sticky about Canadian insulin but the posts all seem to be older.
What is the process to order Lantus from Canada at this time? Anyone have a suggestion on how to get cheaper Lantus?
Thanks all,
Kristin and a possibly regulated Calley, who is now playing in boxes again.
