No snuggles last night, only early this morning. Well, really not snuggles this morning either as it was more like the turban wrap again.

He got a +8.5 snack last night and was still above 91 this AM I was not so sure that he got more than a drop on insulin this AM as it was so hard to see if there was any in the syringe with tired morning eyes.

Hope all Beans and Kitties are doing well.

Beautiful Bubba!! Go for it!!

I think Trouble is waiting for Bubba! He had some low blues yesterday :( very weird.. SO starting at day 1 with green again today. .Also DH, does hold the plunger in- :)))

That's what it is! They want to party together! :cat: I am starting to think that Bubba just runs a little higher than the average bear, I mean cat. I am vacillating as to whether I want to do a trial soon.

Go with your gut- and start when it feels right to you:) You will know! It's hard because Bubba is on lockdown- and I know he loves to be out. The only difference with Trouble on the insulin is the testing and the injection- otherwise life is the same!

I am going to wait for a while (til Trouble has a week of greens)- or until our insulin runs out:)))) whatever comes first!

The lockdown and him being so miserable and wanting to be outside makes me wonder if it does keep him a bit higher from aggravation.

Does Trouble roam freely on your property or does he stay close to the house?

I know- our civvie would go NUTS if we kept him inside- Bubba reminds me of him- big, orange and fluffy!

Trouble stays pretty close- and has his routine- mostly he sits on a chair on the deck. He sniffs around the garden in the back- sits in the catnip, eats grass- and then does a loop around the front, and sits under a japanese maple, sometimes goes up to the higher front garden. Very Very Occasionally he will wander- to the neighbours.. He also likes to sit on the driveway under the carport and watch the road (our driveway is sloped down a hill- the road is higher)

We do bring him in well before dark- as there comes a point that he gets "naughty" at dusk and then he WILL wander!!

Long answer- but he stays pretty close...

With the 3 legs- we also check on him a bit.. don't leave him outside when we are gone either.

I wish Bubba would hang close to the house. He goes acres away. Forrest on the other hand is like Trouble with a routine.

Does Bubbs have a collar? Would love for you to get a video surveillance camera chip thingy to track him LOL. Green is green Bubba but make mama happy and lower it a bit.

I should look into the surveillance camera but one thing concerns me: he goes into the thicket in a grove of trees and I am afraid of him getting hung by getting caught on something. Maybe if there were a back pack camera???

You have so many cheerleaders Bubba!! You are almost there!

I love the description of the snuggles as a turban wrap! Halloween sleeps at the top of my head every night.

Judy, I notice you have been testing at +3. Is that just to make sure that the pancreas is doing it's job after feeding?
Well...partly. I do like seeing the lovely greens when I test and Boomer was giving me low blues at AMBG.
Mainly it's because I wanted to test when I knew he hadn't had food for 3 hours because I didn't want to test a food high. He gets +3, +6, +9 overnight meals in auto feeder and there was nothing stopping him from eating the +9 at +10, +11, whenever.
So I feed him at AMBG and if he leaves anything, which is rarely, I pick it up right away. So at +3 I know he hasn't had anything to eat for 3 hours.

That makes sense! Thanks for explaining.
