    Morning,
I'm already behind. I overslept. I stayed up late to get a reading on Blue and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. I guess I was really tired.

He was high last night. This AMPS is 407 so I feel better and gave him his new dose of .75 so we will see in a few hours.

I keep forgetting to hit the button below for posting a message and have lost 2. :banghead:

You do not want to know how many times I've done that, Patty. Another favourite of mine is to type a message then hit the link back to the board index instead of clicking on 'Post Reply'. I come back to check on the thread a few hours later to find the unposted message still sitting there.

Glad to know I'm not the only one! :)

I just asked Diane in the other thread about the vitamins being for humans....

He seems fine. He ate a good bit for a cat that never ate much previously. He marched on me for a while and he's off for his morning nap. He's got no worries!

What was your local time when you gave the dose? Also, am I right that your time zone is Eastern Daylight Time? (Just trying to get my head round when your tests will be due relative to BST as the day goes along.)

I can do +2 or +3...I'm around most of the day. I ordered the B12. I saw an herbal supplement for BG in cats. Have you seen it before or anyone tried it that you know of?

Not given herbal supplements for BG. For liver and anti-inflammatory support, yes (Nutramed), and slippery elm bark to soothe the digestive tract.

I'm confused now. There's a +2 result already on your spreadsheet.

    I'd suggest grabbing a +4 next.

Sorry I confused you...I meant an additional 2 or 3 but didn't say it correctly. I'll get +4.

I tested and it said high but I retested and it's 275. I'm not sure why the first one was high....but glad I did it again. +4 :)

    Duff test strip.

If ever you get reading weirdness it's wise to retest straight away. Well done, that girl.

I'd suggest testing again at +6 or +7. (New dose, and might better inform plan for this evening.)

He's at 236 and eating again. He's been starving all day! I haven't been supplementing with the dry so maybe that's why. He likes his dry food snacks! I was just trying to figure out if he could go without.

I don't know. Do you think that's a common occurrence? I was just thinking it was a lack of dry food.

Maybe. There is so much interplay between the food and the insulin.

FD is a bit of a voyage of discovery. Keeping notes in the 'Remarks' column about food, meds, litter box habits, etc., can often help you to identify patterns. At the moment you're at the 'Learn Thy Cat' stage of the sugar dance. :)

How I wish there wasn’t a need to test. We go through the high lows and in between with them. We all want a speedy fix and some lucky people get it. For most it’s a marathon. Hang in there Patty. The new dose can take several cycles to show what it will do.

What Elise said. Plus this time round you know that Blue did well on the 0.75IU dose before. Let the depot build...

    Starting at 350 AMPS

He had dry heaves in the middle of the night. He ate this morning so I'm not sure what was going on. Maybe nothing but thought I'd mention.

    Hi Patty,

Site's working again. As I said above, I've been keeping an eye on Blue's spreadsheet while the FDMB server was throwing wobblers.

No, he didn't throw anything up just dry heaves. Rare for Blue. That's why I mentioned it. He seems fine today. Maybe a hairball he couldn't get up. I guess we’ll see soon.
