Bibo has lost appetite!

Hi everyone,
It's been a while, so hopefully all is well with everyone. Been busy taking care of mom and Bibo was a trooper the last 2 months, with bg ranging from 50 to 70. However, things changed on saturday. Early morning, I saw him chasing after an insect and he ate it (don't know what it was), and 2 hours later, he started vomiting ( 3 times in 2 hours), and hasn't vomitted since then, but he lost his appetite. He doesn't wanna eat his fancy feast food. I tried different flavors and no luck, I also tried a tuna and he licked a little and stopped. Gave him dry treats (which I hated doing so) and he ate 4 little pieces...I took him to the vet this morning and he said, he looked fine, no fever, bg normal and I asked him to do blood work. He'll be calling me tonight with the results. Anyone has any idea what could this be? Thanks for reading my post.

The vet just called saying that his blood test results were very good. Didn't see any problems there, but doesn't know why he doesn't wanna eat. He said let's wait another day or two...I hope he'll get better soon. His bg also was very good he said.

I hope he's eating!

When dealing with a diabetic cat- even one who is diet controlled- you can't wait a couple of days to have him start to eat. It can cause too many problems.

Try forbidden foods (deli meats, etc.), parmesan cheese, baby food ... whatever he may want. If he still seems nauseated, give him 1/4 of a Pepcid AC tablet to settle his tummy and try again.

Good luck!
