GA Ben crossed the bridge today...

It is with a very heavy heart and tears on my cheeks that I let you know we had to let Ben go this morning. It was a difficult decision as his sickness was in his inability to move rather than a "sickness". He has simply declined, and lost too may of his faculties to allow him to continue in that way. We showered him with extra love, catnip and his favorite foods last night and this morning, and he went peacefully, purring in our arms.

Somehow 18 years doesn't feel like enough. He was the toughest, sweetest and most gentle cat I've ever know, and we will miss him so very much. Thank you all for all your guidance with his FD.

Rest easy sweet Benny Ben cat_wings>o

(((Tasha))) I am so sorry to hear it was your little old man’s time to earn his wings. :bighug::bighug: Your posts always made it sound like he had a really sweet personality. Fly free Ben, may you now run freely again, chasing after butterflies.

(((Tasha))). I’m truly sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy. I know it was a tough decision but you did what was best for him all along.

Fly free, beautiful Ben. Such a soulful face.

Always heartbreaking to hear this sad news...sending our special thoughts and hugs your way - know that he's no longer in pain and is resting peacefully now... so very sorry. cat_wings>o

Oh I love pics of dogs and cats, how beautiful they are laying together. I'm sorry you, your pup, and the whole family have lost dear Ben.

Run free and fast Ben, unencumbered by your earthly limitations. :bighug:

Dear Tasha,
I am so sorry that it was sweet Ben's time to begin a new adventure at the Bridge. Your loving memories of Ben will always keep him alive in that special place in your heart that belongs only to him.

In deepest sympathy,
Ella & Edward, Rusty (GA) and Stu (GA)

Thank you all so very much for your kindness and wonderful words. We appreciate each and every one. It’s been very quiet in our house, but we know Ben is in a good place, and free of pain. :rb_icon:
