Late this morning I said goodbye to my Bailey( aka Bailey Boy, Ornagie) . I adopted he as al already being treated diabetic seven years ago to the month. When he arrived he could jump over two baby gates one above the other. He was always friendly and outgoing. When he arrived he had no problem eating and really did not hide. When I opened the carrier with all my cats around he came out and then jumped up on the refrigerator.

His BGs were never well regulated and really never had a good appetite. He always ate some dry since he would not eat enough canned. Besides being diabetic he had hyperthyroidism and intestinal problems (IBD/lymphoma?). A the end he developed edema (fluid accumulation) both in lis limbs and in his lungs. He had difficulty breathing this morning.

(((Larry))) I am so sorry. So many kitties have been lucky enough to have you as their dad and Bailey is no exception. Fly free sweet (((Bailey))).

Awww Larry, I'm sorry about Bailey. What a character he was. No doubt he knew he had a wonderful home with you. (((Larry)))

I am so sorry for you loss.

You loved Bailey and took good care of him, giving him freedom
from his failing body.

May wonderful memories of Bailey, and the knowledge that he
is together with Twigie now, comfort you...

...'til you meet again.

Oh Larry, I am so sorry. Bailey was very blessed to have you for his dad. He knows how much he is loved and his spirit will always be near you. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((LARRY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Dearest Larry,

Sometimes we are simply humbled by others' hearts. Their capacity to love in the face of loving a sweet furry someone has decided have to give up... Their capacity to love in the face of time ticking... Their capacity to love and give a home in the face of no matter what...

I have always been humbled by your heart.

Bailey certainly picked his champion in you and with your heart, didn't he?

Oh gosh, I'm am so truly sorry, Larry. Please accept my humble, heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies. Please be gentle with yourself and your courageous heart...

Fly free, precious Bailey! Wear your awesome new wings proudly! We know you'll soar high... Dance with Twigie and Giz and Grey Ghost! Everyone dances at The Bridge! It's that place where you can eat whatever you want whenever you want...

And, darling Bailey, please visit your daddy's dreams to tell him you're okay now -- and visiting with dear furry friends...

Much love and countless gentle hugs, dearest Larry,
Deb and Nikki -- and, Giz, dancing with Bailey and forever in my heart...

Fragile Circle

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan."

Larry,

I am so sorry about Bailey, and grieve with you. I wish you peace. You are such a good cat dad.

Judy, Jake, Civvie Boomer, and Emma the beagle

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to yet another of your babies.

Bailey was fortunate that you found him and took him into your life.

Sending comforting thoughts.

Emmy & Dude (& Mittsi too)

Larry,

I'm so sorry for your loss of Bailey. Fly free, Bailey.

Larry, my heart goes out to you. Three GAs in a very short period of time is very rough on anyone. Hoping you can find some solace and comfort as we see the greening of the earth.

Peace,

Claudia

((((((Larry)))))) My heart goes out to you it's so hard when you lose them so close together....

Fly free dear Bailey.....you earned your wings

I'm sorry to hear this, but you stuck by him thru thick and thin. Not too many cat owners would do what you did. Rest assured that he appreciated all you did to give him a good home.

Larry, So sorry to read of Bailey. Thanks for adopting him and taking such good care of him during his diabetic years. He loved you as much you did he and giving him peace from his illness was your last gift of love to him. Thinking of you. Lorraine

Larry, I am so so sorry. Bailey had a much longer life because of you, but that doesn't make his passing any easier to bear.

My sympathies.
