Late this morning I said goodbye to my Bailey( aka Bailey Boy, Ornagie) . I adopted he as al already being treated diabetic seven years ago to the month. When he arrived he could jump over two baby gates one above the other. He was always friendly and outgoing. When he arrived he had no problem eating and really did not hide. When I opened the carrier with all my cats around he came out and then jumped up on the refrigerator.
His BGs were never well regulated and really never had a good appetite. He always ate some dry since he would not eat enough canned. Besides being diabetic he had hyperthyroidism and intestinal problems (IBD/lymphoma?). A the end he developed edema (fluid accumulation) both in lis limbs and in his lungs. He had difficulty breathing this morning.
