Hi
I just got some liquid injectable cyanocobalamin for Bam Bam and Sebastian. The bottle is small 1000mcg/mL--a 10mL bottle.
How much do I put in a syringe--assuming I am going by units using an insulin syringe? And as I understand it it's typically done ...every day for a week then once a week for X weeks...or something?
Oh, my vet said this:
"The dose is 250 mcg (usually 0.25 ml of a 1000 mcg/ml concentration) once weekly for 6 weeks, then monthly. It's probably overkill to give it every day, but it's not harmful (he'll just eliminate the extra in his urine)."
But I have no idea what that dose is in terms of an insulin syringe....Can someone please refresh me?
thanks
