Yes I agree I can increase even tonight if you all agree? Increase to .5I was going to post the same suggestion this morning - I suspect she needs more juice too. If she were mine, I'd increase to .5u's tomorrow.
HUGS Nicole!
Just MY opinion - I'd rather see an increase at a time when testing can be done easily over that increase cycle. In your case, that's during the day - you cannot test after +3-ish at night. You likely won't catch lower numbers that may need intervention as they'd happen more often +5 to +7.
Again, just my opinion which that and $2 will buy another cup of McD coffee![]()
I'm in the same boat as you!! I'm up around 5 AM and I try to get out the door by 6:15. My old bedtime was 9 PM, but now with Rex's antics, I have had to go to bed late. Just last night, I was up until 11 PM. My saving grace is being able to sleep more on the weekends and having Fridays off. Also, the problem is, I work full time, I have to be up super early for work, having a PJ party just isn't something I can muster so I'd rather do this slowly so that she's not at risk of a drop too low. Weekends are slightly different but I'm mostly an up early gal and to bed early gal as well.
Yep, looks like we're on the same schedule! Ugh, these kitties! Good thing they're so cute!I'm in the same boat as you!! I'm up around 5 AM and I try to get out the door by 6:15. No, I'm at work today.Have you been able to test her today? Just being nosy and wondering if she's thrown any surprises.
Well, it's a good thing I love coffee! So should I hold off until Friday evening so I can monitor her until bed time and then I'll have Saturday/Sunday all day as well.
You can give a little snack as long as it's more than 2 hours before the pre-shot number.Ok just got home and got a +9 137
Both plates were licked clean - can I give her a small snack? Should I increase then tonight to the .5? I think she'll be fine. I can get a check in at 8:15pm and another at 930pm before bed
They're so funny, I get home and it's like they've never seen a morsel of food in their lives, afraid someone is going to bite my leg off! Aurora was loving it last week when she wasn't getting insulin because they got fed much earlier! If shot times are at 6:15, then the cats need to eat before 4:15. My cats are learning they have to wait after I get home because it's too close to shot times.
I think I would hold the .25 tonight with that pre shot number. And we'll see what she does by AM and re access.PMPS 148 still give .5 correct?
Ha too late I shot and left the house I guess I can't give another .25 when I get home at 745 huh?
NO, don't shoot any more. It will give you two different nadirs and will not be good. Just leave it at .25 unit for tonight and let's see how this cycle goes. Get a number when you get home and before you go to bed. Tomorrow's AMBS will let us know if you should shoot the .50. Sorry about the confusion on my part. I am still not sure why I thought you should hold the .25. I will be anxious to see what her numbers are later tonight.Ha too late I shot and left the house I guess I can't give another .25 when I get home at 745 huh?
Thanks Lyresa. My gut had a strong reaction to holding the .25 tonight.Don't shoot again, it could cause some wierd action. With that still falling number at PMPS, I sort of like that you gave the .25 anyway.
This could be an active cycle. Guess my gut was good tonight, LOL. As Mandy said, please give a tsp of LC to slow down the cycle and get a +3 which is when onset usually happens.121 @ +1.5
What's lc?Check again at +3. Did you get more test strips? You may want to give a tsp LC to slow that drop.
I dont see it on Dr. Lisa's list. It could be. Maybe some one else has used it?Would the rad cat raw be a good choice for lc?
Then Id say its LCLc = low carb? Well there are no carbs in the raw...
I'll get extras tomorrow.FYI, try to keep 100 on hand. With Rex being the way he is, I keep 150-200 on hand.
