I think Aurora went lower after you went to bed and is bouncing a little this morning. Hopefully Aurora will come down nicely.

Hmm I was thinking the same as Elise.

Nicole are you still following SLGS?
Now that Aurora is not on any dry, you could do TR, it would allow you to get a handle on the numbers more quickly, and you are testing enough.

OK Aurora, hope you're reading your condo, the beans are thinking more juice, time to mess with our noggins.:cat::cat::cat:

I was going to post the same suggestion this morning - I suspect she needs more juice too. If she were mine, I'd increase to .5u's tomorrow.

HUGS Nicole!

Just MY opinion - I'd rather see an increase at a time when testing can be done easily over that increase cycle. In your case, that's during the day - you cannot test after +3-ish at night. You likely won't catch lower numbers that may need intervention as they'd happen more often +5 to +7.

Again, just my opinion which that and $2 will buy another cup of McD coffee :)

Well, it's a good thing I love coffee! So should I hold off until Friday evening so I can monitor her until bed time and then I'll have Saturday/Sunday all day as well.

Also, the problem is, I work full time, I have to be up super early for work, having a PJ party just isn't something I can muster so I'd rather do this slowly so that she's not at risk of a drop too low. Weekends are slightly different but I'm mostly an up early gal and to bed early gal as well.

I'm in the same boat as you!! I'm up around 5 AM and I try to get out the door by 6:15. My old bedtime was 9 PM, but now with Rex's antics, I have had to go to bed late. Just last night, I was up until 11 PM. My saving grace is being able to sleep more on the weekends and having Fridays off.

Yep, looks like we're on the same schedule! Ugh, these kitties! Good thing they're so cute!

I'd rather see an increase earlier than that BUT on the other hand, Fri would give you more time to catch any possible lows.

Ok just got home and got a +9 137
Both plates were licked clean - can I give her a small snack? Should I increase then tonight to the .5? I think she'll be fine. I can get a check in at 8:15pm and another at 930pm before bed

You can give a little snack as long as it's more than 2 hours before the pre-shot number.

If shot times are at 6:15, then the cats need to eat before 4:15. My cats are learning they have to wait after I get home because it's too close to shot times.

Aurora is ripping out her fur again, licking her belly and trying to tear out pieces of fur....ugh......why does she do this? Someone has yacked a small hairball today as well and I'm positive it's her because it was in a spot that she always sits in. There was a hairball yesterday on the carpet infront of the litter box. It's been yack city around here the past 3-4 days and it's always fur

They're so funny, I get home and it's like they've never seen a morsel of food in their lives, afraid someone is going to bite my leg off! Aurora was loving it last week when she wasn't getting insulin because they got fed much earlier!

On second thought, if you can monitor tonight, go ahead and give her the .50.

ETA: I just saw you post and the .25 tonight isn't going to make a big diff in the scheme of things. To tell you the truth, I don't know why I posted to shoot .25, it was a gut call. But no worries.

Ha too late I shot and left the house I guess I can't give another .25 when I get home at 745 huh?

NO, don't shoot any more. It will give you two different nadirs and will not be good. Just leave it at .25 unit for tonight and let's see how this cycle goes. Get a number when you get home and before you go to bed. Tomorrow's AMBS will let us know if you should shoot the .50. Sorry about the confusion on my part. I am still not sure why I thought you should hold the .25. I will be anxious to see what her numbers are later tonight.

Enjoy the gym. ;)

No didn't get more strips I have 5 left will go tomorrow on my way home. Been insanely crazy for me at work.

I am not going to make it till Aurora's +3. If she hits green by the +3 I would give her a little snack to keep her surfing. And then you might want to grab a test before you hit the sack.

Ok, +3 is at 107 just put out some raw food and she ate almost the whole plate. There is also wild calling salmon out on the plate as well for her to nibble on if she wants.
I'm headed to bed. Going to leave the house early and stop at walmart to buy more strips...I only have 4 left!

She needs a bit more carbs than zero to surf well if you've got something 3-4%. Zero will allow that number to just keep falling and we don't want it to do a free-fall. Mr. Pancreas is coming out to play again...
