I received a message recently regarding a suggestion of switching from Lantus to Levemir due to its longer duration and shorter bounces. I currently have 2 Lantus Cartridges left.

If theres any feedback or comments they're greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

there's no doubt about it. some kitties do better with levemir than lantus. just like some kitties do better on lantus than they do on levemir.
the only way to tell if blackie is one of those kitties is to try it.

however, i'm not so sure there's less bouncing on lev and i'm seriously beginning to question the claims of lev having a longer duration than lantus. the onset of levemir is usually later in the cycle than the onset of lantus. does lev really have a longer duration... or did it just start working later and therefore we're still seeing some lev action later in the cycle??? :?

Ken, I'm so glad to hear all the good news in your yesterday's condo. I was wondering if everything was alright, and when you would post again. Good luck with the new lady.

All I know is that J.D. often bounced for 3 days when using Lantus, and now he comes down from bounces a lot quicker. His onset and nadir are both about 2 hours later now, than they were when he was on Lantus.
