Please see the DCIN blog here. Audrey may need to be an "only." (See later post.)

DCIN will assist a potential adopter in any way, including transport. Let's save this girl.

Edited to remove 911. Update info will be posted separately.

I hope Audrey finds her furever home.

ETA: I can't get this to bump up in the Lantus forum.
And when I open it, all of a sudden I'm in the Health forum.

Claudia just followed up with me. She said that Audrey doesn't necessarily need to be an "only." Audrey was never exposed to Claudia's cats. However, in Claudia's experience, Audrey has a lot of fear from her medical treatment, and is difficult to shoot with insulin.

It could be that fear is partially from being in a clinic environment.

"I live here and they hurt me with 28ga needles."

I hope someone takes her.

Hi,

I'm quite comfortable with both BG tests and insulin injections. I haven't read all the posts in this thread and am not sure where this particular sweetie is, but if I can be of help and offer a home, I'm happy to. Let me know.

(((Deb))) You are amazing. Audrey is in Mass, but we're very good at transporting. What State do you live in?

Hi all,

I'm just east of Toronto (Whiby, ON), and have a wonderful vet who I know is very knowledgable and supportive of those improving the lives of our furry feline (and canine!) friends who are dealing with diabetes. I'm quite happy to help out and offer a temporary or permanent home, I know Jake would want me to, and am wondering if this little princess could be safely transported to my general area? Also, given the fact that there are both canine and feline friends here, would Audrey settle in ok? As I said, I have some experience with feline diabetes, have an amazing vet, and understand that the "right" environment is often needed for our sweet kitties. I will check-in regularly, so please let me know if Audrey is on her way and/or what I can do to support her transport to me.

Thanks again,
Deb and Jake (GA)

Hi Deb,

I'm here. Claudia (cjleo) is going to send you a message to chat with you about Audrey. Claudia had Audrey in her home for a few days, so knows her more than anyone else here. Claudia also is closest to Audrey and would likely be the one to rescue her from the vet's office.

I will also PM you my phone number.

Talk with you soon.

Venita

You are a saint Deb, I was so happy to see your post and you can bet Jake is running all over the Bridge singing the praises of his wonderful loving momma bean.

I can't wait to see the post saying Audrey at home with you! Bless you for opening your heart and home to this little princess.
