Apaches new journey , here we go

i shake or roll the pen like vetsulin vial
No. No rolling or shaking
i can shoot while shes eating ???
Yes as long as you know she will eat
when u overdraw and fill to recommended dose on syringe fill, is it ok to dispense some insulin back into the pen , like a vial or do you remove the syringe from the pen and then dispense (waste?) insulin
Don’t dispense back into the cartridge, squirt into the sink.
do you let the insulin in the syringe get warm a bit ?
I never did. Some people do for 15 mins.

It typically took me not much more than 1 minute to load the syringe. You can practice with coloured liquid before hand if you just want to see how the new syringes load. Check out that Sticky Note on Insulin and Syringes and the videos I linked for you.

I watched yhe vids. It's HARD TO SEE the fill lines are so small. Now I know why u need the .3 barrels. Apache got her shot when she was almost done eating. First meter test ?

A test 2 hours after the shot is a good place to start. The depot still has to build for you, but a +2 can often give you a heads up how the cycle will go.

@Apache & Ric
you need to add lantus to your signature also ,you can just put started Lantus and the date
That's the first thing members liook at

Can youn put a blank line above the date you start it and just write started Lantus PM Cycle and highlight it :cat:
A favor
Ric a favor can you tap in the like work to the right just so we know you read any of the posts when members reply to you

281 at +2 .i hope i didnt miss the shot injection or am i just used to the vetsulin freefall. ive never used a syringe with a needle so small ! also its much easier to read the syringe markings during the daylight !!

i noticed that since Apache has switched to Lantus she has stopped sneezing more than usual. is it possible she was allergic to vetsulin ?

Since this forum is rather busy, we request that you start a new post each new day that you post. That way it's easier for those of us watching the forum to keep up with today's action. POSTING GUIDELINES PLEASE READ

As far as numbers so far, they will get better as the depot fills, and she seems to be getting there. Not sure on the allergy, haven't heard that one before.

It's not recommended by the manufacturer. A popular item hear is those overhead craft lamps that have a magnifying attachment. I filled with overhead light and white background below the syringe, and a hand held magnifier.
