? Anyone giving B12 by injection how often do you give injection

I called Buddy's vet and asked for B12, when I went to pick it up, it was 1 syringe filled 1.0 of B12. I was dumb founded and I asked one of the tech's how often it was to be given and she said every 2-4 weeks. I had gotten some from a visit with a different vet, I received 7 syringes filled with B12 and the instructions were, give one a day for a week, after that one a week. How are you giving.
 
Hi. This is the recommendation from IDEXX labs primer on pancreatitis:

“It is common for cats with pancreatitis to concurrently have gastrointestinal disease; therefore, measuring serum cobalamin concentrations in cats with pancreatitis is recommended. If a cobalamin deficiency is documented, it should be supplemented by parenteral injection. Generic formulations of cobalamin are readily available and extremely cost effective. The recommended dose for cats is 250 μg/injection; with one dose weekly for 6 weeks, followed by one dose every 2 weeks for 6 weeks, then monthly injections.”

(Cobalamin and Folate levels are part of the TAMU GI panel)
