Took LB for a vet check. He's gained weight. :-x 8.9kilo's. (nearly 20lbs) - more rationing for LB! Vet is absolutely wrapped in the progress and suggested we trial him off insulin. Yikes - he's getting more keen than us! When he finished consult he asked us to send him info on Metacam. He said "they" don't tell him anything about what is wrong with a medication! He asked us to show him where we blood test and he suggested we not squeeze too much as it can increase bg reading. I am pretty sure he's converted and will be telling newly diagnosed keen cat owners about what we've achieved. As I said before our vet has never had a diabetic cat go into remission.
FYI we will be following the protocol and decreasing as suggested though the latest decrease was a bit rushed. All very exciting.
Little Boy looks very healthy and the granuloma on his tongue is nothing compared to what it was this time last yr.
