I accidentally injected air into pen recently. It was opened Aug 1.
Does that automatically make it toast, or do I just make sure, no bubbles in syringe, as normal?
I can see the bubbles in it.

I have had bubbles show up in mine at times, it didnt seem to shorten the life of the insulin, I would continue to remove any air in the syringe though and as usual if you start getting wonky numbers change the pen over to a new one.
I have even removed the air in the pen with a clean syringe but it didnt seem to make the insulin last any longer lol its mainly the factor that the pen cartridge works on a vacuum principal so it might make a difference if you were using the pen needles.

Happened to me & I tossed it--Stupid of me!! Oh well these kitties cost much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ But we LOVE THEM!!!
