Good afternoon everyone! I was a bit busy yesterday....went to Melissa's (and Paul-kyle) for a plant exchange and was gone all day, so I didn't get a chance to post yesterday.
Spot is doing peachy! He enjoys keeping me on my toes by giving me some nice mid range blue numbers one day and then giving me nice greens another. There was a time this week when I thought that he may need a drop of insulin to bring him down, but he must have heard me think and did a great job of doing that himself. Yesterday he must not have felt very well. He did a little clear foamy throw up right before his morning test and gave me a 113 and just nibbled his breakfast. Since I was at Melissa's for most of the day, Mom was home and offered him the rest of his meal throughout the day and he finally finished it. He gave her a 71 for him pm test and again, just nibbled his dinner. By the time I got home (around 9:30 pm) he seemed to be feeling better and ate some freeze dried chicken out of my hand. When it was time to go to bed, I offered him some of his dinner and he ate what I put in his dish. The rest I put in his timed feeder. At 3:30 a.m. I got woken up by kitty kisses to the face....Spot was in need of guided tour to his feeder. I walked him out, section was already open...Spot took a sniffer and didn't want to eat, so I got some misc. liver/chicken dust and sprinkled it on top and bammo...the 'ol appetite came back and he finished it all up, plus the other section that opened up.
This morning, he ate his breffis w/gusto and has been chillaxin outside on his chair for most of the afternoon.
So, that's our week in a nutshell!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!
