Good Saturday,
Rusty had a good night sleeping with his beans and is bringing down his bgs this morning. He must have slept most of yesterday. Yesterday evening we had a mouse in the cabin for a while and Rusty didn't even notice--he slept through it!!
This morning he was raring to go. Gobbled up his breakfast, had a good shot, and a good schmooze with his beans. He and his papabean are taking a nap right now.
It hasn't yet started to rain on the paddlers in day 2 of the 90 mile race, but the wind is fierce and that will mean a strenuous day, especially since the first part of the course is about 10 miles on a large lake before they get into the shelter of a river. Then, later, there will be the 2-mile carry around the falls and the day's finish on the river. Tomorrow, the last day, is the easiest and the weather is predicted to be sunny and much colder. We won't be at the finish this year because we will be staying over at camp and leading a paddle near here on Monday.
Here is a link to the 90 miler, for those who want to learn more about this classic race.

Wishing all a fine weekend,
