Hello LL!!
Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=124890
Billie is acting normal - good appy, playing, normal activity level, and a nice AMPS - but she had some diarrhea a little while ago. The past two days, she had soft poos, but this was straight up diarrhea. Poor Billie. It only happened once so far. I don't know if it's from the Convenia, the Panacur, or both. I called her vet to let him know, but he is out today. Another vet called me back and told me to give her some rice, but I'm not fond of that idea. Tonight is the last dose of Panacur.
I have been giving her Fortiflora - about a packet and a half over the course of each day. Is there anything else I can/should give her that might help? I read that Pedialite can be given to help replenish electrolytes, so I'm wondering if that would be a good idea. I have tried to give her pumpkin in the past and she has said no thanks, but I can try that again.
Charlene and Amy, thanks for stopping by yesterday! Amy, to answer your question about litter, I haven't done anything different recently. I have always gotten either Fresh Step or Scoop Away, depending on what's on sale. So, I'm still stumped!
I had been sticking to Hound & Gatos and Evo, but on Saturday when she hit 47, I gave her ice cream, MC Wellness Minced Chicken (has eggs), and FF Classic Chicken (has fish). So, we got way off track as far as food allergy experiments go.
I noticed a couple new hives yesterday, but her coughing has been quiet today (super anti-jinx). I think I need to give the food allergy experiment a fair try and be really strict with it. I'm going to do a pet store run later to find more food options of varying carb levels without fish and eggs in them, and I'm going to avoid the parmesan. It's easier to avoid the parmesan now that I have Fortiflora for bribery.
I hope everyone is having a nice day!! Vines to all the cats and beans in need.
