9/6 Hello from Pearl!

Hi everyone :)

Pearl and I thought we would stop by to say "hello" today. Today is the first day we haven't needed to get up before the crack of dawn to test BG (even though she likes the "early" schedule and slapped my face when I didn't jump up quickly enough for her breakfast). It's honestly the first day of her "freedom" in a year. This time last year she was in the throes of despair and depression, before FD even.

So this is the healthiest and happiest she has been - now as the senior member of the house (older than Chessie, but younger than her GA's Whisper and Cricket). It's so nice getting to know this happy and healthy Pearl.

Surf safely today kitties!

Does it feel so weird, like you're forgetting to do something? Are your testing fingers twitching?
I am so happy for you two!

FWIW, Gizmo is my civvie. He spent his first 6 years as Gabby's companion and was very comfortable with her schedule. I shot at 5:00. Despite Gabby having crossed the bridge in December 2015, he continues to wake me up at 5:00 AM expecting breakfast to be served. I'm not a morning person. However, I've learned to appreciate a leisurely cup of coffee and breakfast and attending to the overnight onslaught of email.

I suspect the if Pearl is like most kitties, she likes predictability and yo9ur have taught her well when it comes to meal time.
