Happy Friday Eve to you all! Shadow kept me company in the bathroom as usual this morning.. purring his head off and waiting for his petting. He then trots out to the dining room and jumps up for hist test. What a guy! I hope he is half as enthusiastic for the DPS. He is well into his pink bounce. ugh. We have a very healthy deposit in the LB already this morning.
Been thinking about 2.0u for his dose while I am away. Libby was kind to help me out. So, the DPS will be coming by at 4pm as well as the shot times of 8am/8pm. I told her to not shoot if he is <200 and to give him some HC gravy. She will call or text me in any case. I showed her the gravy syringe that I need to use with him sometimes and she is all set with that.
Today is laundry and packing day for me. I wish the house didn't need to be cleaned and picked up. It think that if you have packing to do, the other weekly chores should take care of themselves automatically, don't you?
So much to do, so little time. :lol:

OMG I Thought today was Friday! Am I confused or what??? I'm already sending you off :lol: :lol: :lol: --OK Shadow is high, which is actually better for him while you are away..Libby will give you the best advice on dose for your weekend away--

oh shadow you silly boy, what are you doing all the way up on the third floor? Don't you want to impress your DPS with much better numbers? Pat, I am sure everything will be fine with the DPS while you are gone. Enjoy yourselves, you have earned this get a way!

Hey there Shadow - whatcha doin all the way up there. But like Roni said, makes it easier on DPS. Hope the bounce doesn't mean a plummet. Oh Pat, I'm in complete agreement, if I'm busy doing something else the housework should take care of itself. Doesn't it realize that we have better things to do :-D

I agree, Pat, all chores should be doing themselves, while you pack and think about the trip. :-D

Enjoy the trip! We'll miss your visits in Jack's condo but I'm sure you've earned yourself a little break.

We should all chip-in for a FDMB housekeeper that just cycles through our homes every few weeks and tidies up. It's just the two of us here with two cats and one dog, and neither of us works your typical 40hr week and yet the house is always on the verge of disaster. It makes me realize that my mom truly is a domestic goddess to have kept everything so together when my sis and I were growing up. Though, maybe if Yoshi and I both worked outside the home we would never be home long enough to really make a mess of things...

And I agree with you and everyone else.... packing and household chores don't go together.

As for the packing....my kitties usually try to help with that...Lightning the most. Whenever I have a duffel bag out, he jumps in it and thinks its the funnest thing ever!

Hope you have a wonderful trip and are able to enjoy the time away...Your DPS sounds incredible and I know she'll take almost as good care of your kitties as you do ;-)

Now to Shadow....come down from that pink floor!! Don't jump though, take the stairs nice and slow!

Shadow...what your numbers doing so high this morning? Just trying to let your mommy have a break without worrying so much?

We're like Jack's Dad....just the two of us and four cats...all short-haired...and we are always sweeping up litter and keeping things picked up but by Friday
I'm glad when my housekeeper comes...one because she is an absolute joy and brings so much love into our home (she adores the kits) but also because she
is so great at what she does and we don't have to do it :lol: :lol: :lol:

man, when I finish school and have a real salary getting us a once a week housekeeper is so going to be the first thing I do. :-D

It's just the two of us DH and myself..and the two kitties....and I am retired so I really don't have a good excuse for getting a housekeeper, do I? :roll: It's all about time management. So, if I am doing FD related things for 12 hours each day, with potty breaks included, and I have some time for my broken sleep from midnight to 7:20am, there should be time in there for houskeeping, no? Ok, it's is about priorities too....I DO what a WANT to do...that's the bottom line.
(and I don't really want to do boring things...) :lol:

It is SOOO worth it...in fact, I think I keep working just to have the housekeeper :lol: :lol: Not sure I could justify it if I was home all the time ...oh wait...I could, let's see...golf, hiking, exercise...oops...no time for housekeeping!

Pat...for some reason I always think you are in NY so I was mistaken when I said you weren't going to be too far away on your trip...looks like you will be at the other end of the East Coast!

Sorry for that ugly amps, but I'm glad its a bounce. I will be sending positive vines to Raja & Shadow while you're gone. I know how much you are going to worry, but it sounds like you have the DPS well trained. Try not to stress too much today. :-D
 
Shadow doesn't want you to worry while you're away so he's accomodating you with the slightly higher numbers. He's such a sweetie
 
I personally think household chores should always take care of themselves! I'm always busy doing something else, even if that something else is just relaxing and doing nothing, right? :lol:

Ah, coming down and not too fast. Shadow seems to want to cooperate with his numbers during your trip. We have a guest room in our garage and have to do our packing there so Tess can't see the suitcases. :lol:

I totally agree on the housework, my excuse is that the vacuum scares the s*%@ out of Tess! Can't raise the BG that way! :lol:
