Good Morning LL!!
(Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug want to make their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! I have to admit that they are pretty good! so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!AND!!!! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. Our weather yesterday was such a mixed bag.... Wet rains and winds, and overall nastiness, the kind that makes the radar turn red. By 2 PM the sun had come out, stayed maybe 30 minutes and then was obliterated by the next deluge. ;-) Such weather we have had in the PNW over the weekend... I took advantage of a break in all that wet to hike the trails near home here yesterday. It proved to be a good time, even with winds in the 25 mpg range, and a few sprinkles... I am ever so grateful that such a ncie place is so close to home, and I can go and hike there any time I want. Hooray for Meadowdale!!
Saturday night I went to my youngest son's
show. Rock'n'Roll rules! Well, I've learned to like thrash metal, as that is what his band plays. Despite the loudness he is one heckuva guitar player. It was just so very nice to be able to go and listen to him lay. I was grateful that they place they played at was close to my home. The only drawback was that they played last, were the headliners, and didn't hit the stage until 12:15 AM. so..... it was 1:45 before they were finished, and 2:15AM before I was in bed.    and the worst of it was that I still was awakened by the kitty choir (Bug ad Elsa) at 4AM, and they would not accept "GO AWAY!!!" as my response. So I got up.
and stayed up,
@-) @-) There simply was not enough caffeine yesterday.   Well my dear DS - I'd do over again in heartbeat if it meant being able to hear you play. Well done my son! I took photos (duh!) and video taped the show: Fallen Angels at Madison Avenue Pub. My DS, Matt, is the one on the right in the group shots, also the one featured predominately in the photos: black T-shirt, jeans, goatee. There are 6 videos included. I was amazed that my camera actually did a fairly decent job at recording. And I'll warn you: this is metal music, so loud fast and furious. The lead guitar that you hear is Matt.
Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
Despite my overall fatigue yesterday, I did get alot done, vacuuming included. Lola once again helped me clean. silly cat. She chases that vacuum from one room to the other, batting at the cord, attacking the vacuum as it goes by, carefully inspecting the hose and attachment when I use that from a close enough distance that I can on occasion vacuum her fur. Since she hates brushing, maybe this is the way to go: vacuum the kitty!   I had a small chicken ceaser salad for lunch yesterday. In the process of putting it all together I had set the cubed chicken container on the counter, out of the blue came this flash of fur! well two flashes!   Lola was at wrap speed and as she passed by she grabbed the container in her mouth, flew off the counter headed into the living room to open it, which she did!
What was funnier was that Bug was hot on her paws. He missed snatching that container by a paw. Tandem chicken tub stealing. They were so proud of their catch that I had to let them have some. It is too funny to see a kitty running with a tub of chicken in their mouth.   YUPP!
Normalcy in MusketeerVille! and yes, Elsa missed the whole ting.
Have a great day everyone. Nicholas and William are with me again today, all five days this week. @-) I-) It will be a swim day for Nicholas, in the afternoon. My DD, who has a one half work days left, will be up in the afternoon to watch William so Nicholas and I can go to the pool. With the weather being questionable this morning, I'm not too sure what we will fill the morning hours with. I ahve the feeling we will need a dry indoor place... I will try and get to condos when I can.
