It's been way too long. 😟 I'm missing you all. I hope I have the energy to be back here full time again soon.

Xander's good numbers are basically gone. I think a combination of him starting to seem sick again and/or too many times when we had to skip because he wasn't eating, etc. We had a long night the other night after an increase so I decreased by just a half step, but now it's looking like he needs to go back up. I wanted to do it this morning but was so out of it that it legitimately felt dangerous.

We had a vet visit on Friday. I thought maybe the problem was his teeth because he didn't seem to be nauseated (ondansetron made no difference like it usually would), poop is normal, no vomiting, etc. Just seems miserable and disinterested in food a lot of the time. The new vet (third at this practice since his diagnosis in December last year) checked his teeth and agreed that they do definitely need to be cleaned but from external inspection at least don't seem too awful (but obviously we'll know more when they go in). So we got dental scheduled for September 22nd. They also did labs, which I don't have a copy of (I'll have to ask for one) but she said that everything looked good. She also said that since cats tend to hide dental pain well she thinks it's still worth also doing an ultrasound to rule out something like intestinal cancer, etc. Still waiting on a quote for that but we're planning to do that too. Obviously it would be good to know if he's suffering with something awful, but I'm afraid of what they'll find.

We got him a bird feeder and a new perch to watch them at. He's loved it!! Hadn't seen him this happy in a long time. Until he started to not feel well again, and now he still lays there but seems disinterested.

My own health has improved some (the pain is actually mostly gone, which is amazing), but I still haven't been sleeping much and am just exhausted. All my energy goes into keeping us both alive and there's not much left for anything else.

I appreciate so much that some of you reached out to me, that means so much!!

Hi Brianna, welcome back!! Good to see you and sweet Xander 😻
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better and Xander saw his vet and labs look good!

I hope the dental goes well and it helps his overall condition.
I'm sorry he's still not feeling great and not eating so great 🤗
I know that is so difficult to manage. You're doing such a good job with him.

He looks so happy watching the birds, what a great addition for him 🐦🐦‍⬛
Hoping once he feels better he may resume his interest again.

Keep us posted when you can, and hang in there.
Sending lots of support and healthy vines and wishes to both you and Xander

Oh sweet Xander!!!! Sending you all the positive thoughts and healing vines for whatever may be going on with him 🖤🍃

Glad to hear from you, was hoping you two were alright but didn’t want to overwhelm you. So so happy that your pain is mostly gone, but of course, hope that you can start getting some rest (if even possible) and the exhaustion slowly falls away. Sounds like you’ve been doing so much for Xander (as always!) and that he’s got a lot coming up. Hope the dental goes well, and of course, if you have any questions that I can help answer, let me know!

Safe surfing tonight 🤗🥰

Good to see you here! Awww adorable Xander!!! I’m sorry yall have been feeling on the cruddy side lately. It’s really tough keeping all the things in line especially with something like FD. I hope you both start to feel much better and his numbers come down slowly. Sending big virtual hugs to you both!!

We all miss you and sweet Xander too! Sorry to hear he’s not feeling so well. 🥺 Really hope that the dental helps him feel better ❤️‍🩹

You’re doing an amazing job taking care of him. Be sure to take care of you too. 💕

Sending big hugs and healing vines your way.

So happy to hear from you, had been thinking about you but didn't want to be a bother!
I'm sure it's super hard not to know why his numbers have been higher, be worried it might be something bigger, etc. Fingers crossed you and the vets are able to work it out. ❤️
