Good evening,

after Binies crash last night we are back to super high numbers. :( I was very pleased to see last night, that Binie started to go down. I was not so pleased when the alarm woke me up and she dropped further down even though I was feeding high carb wet food first and later on high carb pill pockets and even a little bit of sugar syrup when she dropped to 43 on the libre with the arrow pointing downwards. :nailbiting:

Im sure she was not that low on the handheld but even though it was scary. On the handheld I could catch a 85 so I recuced her dose to 1.5 IU. I hope she is going gently down tonight and doesn't stay in these high numbers. I had my last working day out today for some time and I am super relieved to be back home.

I thought about starting the new antibiotic tomorrow but I am scared, she will have side-effects and not eat well anymore. But as there is no other way, it makes no sense to postpone it.

I am super tired after these long days of work and not enough sleep last night. Happy, tomorrow is Sunday!

Hope everyone has a relaxed weekend! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

My boys and i send healing thoughts for Binie and I hope you get some rest. It must have been very stressful being gone from her. Fingers and toes crossed (including Methos’ extra ones) that Binie has blue days ahead.

Hi Heike, I’m glad Binie saw some really nice numbers in her cycle last night. But it’s so hard to manage that cycle. Plus you were so tired from work;)
I’m sure you are correct that she bounced today after that lower cycle yesterday.
Good luck with the reduction and hope that she still gives you some good numbers. :)
Is there anything that you can do (that you’ve done before) to help her feel as good as possible when giving the antibiotic since it sounds like you will be starting it on Sunday. I think you are giving probiotics and all kinds of things to support her internal gut health.
We are wishing you lots of good luck and hope that she is able to tolerate the meds to help her fight the infection. ❤️
I hope you both have a good rest tonight because I know you certainly needed it after the week you’ve had❤️
Ivy and I send lots of hugs to you and Binie. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yeah, I echo what Staci said. That is super stressful with how quickly she is dropping. The hardest part of all this for me is the nights. I feel very stressed and guilty if I go to bed and there is a chance Bell could dip low. It is a full-time job (especially mentally) on top of normal work. You are doing fantastic, I really hope things get less stressful for you soon!

Thank you so much Staci! :bighug::bighug::bighug: I give her probiotics every day, so hopefully that will help. I am most scared she stops eating but I try not to think much about it, as there is not really an alternative.

I already saw Ivy keeps you very active. :) So happy she is back an track so quickly! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Seth, you are so right. It is metally and physically draining to take care. For the nights I am super happy I have the libre and know, the alarm will wake me up if she is going too low. That really gives me peace of mind. I hope Bell is fine and you have a nice sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
