You gave Harvey everything he could have asked for, and more. When the worst time came, you acted selflessly and made sure to put his needs first. A cat could not ask for a better companion. I wish some words could help with this devastating time, but know that the FMDB group feels your loss and if we could shoulder some of the burden we would in a heartbeat.

Take care of yourself, and do not hesitate to ask any of us for anything, a should to cry on, a place to vent. We will all miss Harvey too.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Tricia and Mark, BIG HUGE LOOOOOOOOONG HUGS and more and more. I'm SO sorry it was also Harvey's time to cross. Lots of thoughts and prayers for comfort. As you reminded me, 'He's not gone, you just have to hug him differently'. Oh the quiet in your house is so loud. I share so many tears with you....we lost 5 over a 9 month period so I know that awful feeling. MORE AND MORE hugs...

Soar high on your new angel wings sweet boy....landing softly back in Mama's and Papa's broken hearts...

More hugs and prayers,

Oh Tricia, I'm so so sorry. You fought so hard for Harvey, and he knew it and loved you too. :bighug::bighug::bighug: So heartbreaking to lose all of your kitties in such a short time. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Fly free, little Harvey, and land softly.

((((((Tricia + Mark))))))) I read your post early this morning, I am heartbroken for you, I have been thinking of you all day trying to think of something to say, but I know that nothing I can say will ease your grief. Know that I am holding you both in my thoughts and prayers.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

So sorry for your loss. It's so sad when we lose our babies. No two people could have done more than you and Mark have done for your kitties.
Fly free little guy.:rb_icon:

(((Tricia and Mark)))

I have been following along on Harvey's progress and can't tell you how very sorry I am that it was his time to make the journey home. I wish there was more I could say to ease your pain.

Many, many prayers to you and Mark.

No words are adequate when one of our kitties crosses the Bridge. To lose four in so short of a time is beyond words. I found comfort in this quote after Gabby crossed:

"Cats never completely leave you. They side step time, shrug off death - come at the call of memory their beauty undiminished, their touch as gentle, their love perpetual."

Fly free Harvey and land softly. Find Sasha, Minka and Cinco and give Gabby a head butt for me. All of our kitties will keep you company until you are reunited with the ones you love best.

Oh Tricia I am just seeing this and I am so sorry.... I know the pain is beyond measure especially after such a hard battle and Harvey fought like a champion.
My heart is holding you close and I sure hope you take all the time you need to grieve and celebrate the beautiful life of sweet Harvey....RIP Harvey.....:rb_icon:

If only there was something we could say that would bring you some comfort. Perhaps it will help you to know that any of us who have ever lost a special needs cat understands the depth of grief that follows.

We're there with you, Tricia, sitting beside you while you perch on your computer chair. You've been so much in my thoughts this past little while . . . just know that you're still surrounded by all the love and best wishes of your Lantus/Lev Land friends. :bighug:

Sweet Harvey, fly free little one and land softly. You're so loved and will always be remembered.

Just wanted to send some more hugs and tell you I'm thinking of you (((Tricia))). I hate to think of you alone for the next few days:( I hope there is someone who can visit or for you to go see that understands. I'm there in spirit, and if you need to please PM or facebook me! I'm working but I check my email/fb on breaks. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Tricia, I'm so very sorry. (((hugs))) to you and Mark. I don't think words can adequately express things at such a time of loss, but I'm thinking of you both, and can relate to the quietness of your house with no cats. More (((hugs))) to you in this time of grief.

Tricia, I am so sorry to read this. I had so hoped it would be otherwise. You are one incredible bean, so dedicated, yet so understanding and compassionate. Harvey knew that too. I know he thanks you for your decision. He, and the others, will always be with you, tucked away in that special corner of your heart. Fly Free Harvey, and land softly at the Bridge. Look for Mannie, he will help you find your way. Hugs to all.

Oh Tricia, I am so sorry! You have had such a hard year, I can't believe that all 4 of your furbabies are gone. Take the time you need, we are all holding you in our hearts.

Fly Free, Sweet Harvey! You will have so many old friends waiting for you.

Thank you, Leslie, Rachel, Sarah, Suzi, Michelle and Ann. I'm hanging in there. I keep waiting for it to get easier...

My friend Kathy (of Kathy & Chuck, that we play cards with on Saturdays, and our former catsitter) called today to say Chuck was going to a funeral of an old friend she didn't know tomorrow, and would I like some company? So she's coming over and we're doing mani-pedis and then dinner at Red Lobster (Chuck's allergic to seafood). She's staying overnight, so I foresee a major Scrabble tournament! She loved my kitties, too, and has 6+ at her house. It will be nice to relax and do something fun with someone who understands if I'm a little blue.

I got all the litter boxes emptied, cleaned and ready for storage, and all the scoops are lined up, drying, in the garage, ready to go with the boxes. When we do get more kitties, I hope to limit the boxes to 3-4. We have at least 12, I think, since I kept having to get different ones to accommodate changing needs. Surely we will have the purrfect ones for our future furbabies, and I won't have to buy any for a while. Trying to do this stuff in small batches, so I don't get too bogged down in grief over it, but it does help to keep busy.

Thinking of @Critter Mom, @Cindy L and @Carol & Carbonel, grieving for Saoirse, Lucky and Carbonel. :bighug::bighug::bighug: What a horrible week this has been! I pray we don't have another like it, anytime soon!

No words can soothe the hurting heart when one has loved a furry friend so deeply.... I'm glad to hear that you have a friend to visit with this weekend as I always find the silence to be the very worst part.
Sending many :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: and many prayers for your family at this difficult moment.

Thank you Laura, Rhiannon and Jan.

I am still sitting on the edge of my desk chair - I just can't get used to sitting all the way back, and every now and then I start to reach behind me to pet him, then I remember....:(

My guess, based on my own past experiences, is that he is still there right behind you on your chair waiting to be sure you are ok..

I took in an old complex cat, long sad story, and he passed of bladder cancer some months later. His last months were good ones and he knew he was loved, had regular food and a solid roof and warm bed. After setting him free from his failing body I would see him sitting on the steps beside my garage every morning when I went out to work, as solid as when he was here but whole, looking well. I saw him every day there just watching me leave and I always spoke to him as I drove out. Then about a month later I did not see him any more, he had moved on...I realized my heart had begun to heal as well...
:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

So from this former skeptic, I do believe he may still be sitting with you....:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Absolutely, Tricia. He's there. I believe that. I've always believed that when our GA cats are in our thoughts it's because they're nearby. At first, almost always. Even now, seventeen years after he passed, I'll think of Toast and then... I'll hear him. I'll see fleeting glimpses. Yes, I believe.

Oh Tricia,
I have not been to the board since the other morning. I just couldn't think, and needed time. I am so sorry I missed the thread about Harvey's passing, you have my deepest sympathy. This decision we both made is not easy. It's all about QOL, and knowing when to let go. Like Lucky, I am so glad Harvey's mom and dad were there with him. I'm sure he felt the love you both shared for him envelope him as he crossed. :(
I hope Harvey and Lucky and the other kitties that have gone away in the last few days are running together in fields of sunshine, feeling healthy and whole again, chasing butterflies, and enjoying their new world. They'll be waiting for us!
You are in my thoughts,
((hugs))
Cindy

Thank you, Cindy. It was very kind of you to think of us when you have your own grief to deal with. I like the picture you paint, and I hope it is true. :bighug:
