Thank you to everyone that visited yesterday's condo today and left good wishes and vines. Unfortunately, even that wasn't enough to save him.
The ophthalmologist said he was severely dehydrated, which I suspected, and that I should get him to UCD. I did, and after the ER doctor examined him, she brought in Dr. Lim to see him. They both agreed that, even if they could get him rehydrated and his electrolytes back in balance, this is something that would continue to happen and he would have no QOL. There was really nothing more to be done for him, and I absolutely did not want him to keep going through this, so I called Mark, and when he got there we set Harvey free.
To say I am devastated would be an understatement. I waited several hours to post this because I couldn't get through it. To lose one furbaby is heartbreaking, to lose two is shattering. To lose four in just 8 months is beyond comprehension. I'm going to be a wreck for a while, so please bear with me. I'll be back when I can. Right now I just want to curl up in a corner and hide.
Thank you all so much for your continued support. This is the most amazing place. The ER doctor kept saying what wonderful care we took of Harvey, and how lucky he was to be ours. Dr. Lim said the same thing. I told them I couldn't have done it without my FDMB family. I've learned so much here, and that made it possible for me to keep my kitties going when they might have been lost. I can never repay the debt I owe to you all, but I'll try.

Hug your kitties tight tonight and tell them how precious they are to you. Their little lives are so fragile and you never know when it will be their time to cross the bridge.
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans.
Fly free, my beloved psycho kitty, and land softly.
